What is coaching ?

The short and sweet answer to this question is that coaching helps you to achieve your goals.

a coach does this by:-

  • helping you to think clearly and creatively.
  • acting as a sounding board.
  • supporting you.
  • challenging you at times.
  • helping you use your strengths, skills, and experience to get where you want.

 

Unlike the common view of a football coach shouting from the sidelines or throwing boots across the changing room, a coach has a more user-friendly approach!


but there are some similarities:-

  • both concentrate on the present and the future, not the past.
  • both focus on making the most of the skills of the person or people concerned.
  • both are able to keep people focussed and motivated towards achieving the result they want, especially when things are not going as well as hoped.
  • both stress the importance of planning each step on the way, and celebrating every achievement.

 

Coaching is used in a variety of areas – relationships, parenting, career planning and development, work/life balance, sport, health and lifestyle, and personal growth, to name a few.

Coaching can be for you on your own, or for a group of people who want to work on a common topic.

When coaching and hypnotherapy are used together, the results you want can be achieved even more quickly and easily.
